Looking for a great time and learn a few quilting tips too? This club is for you! Each month Jeanne demonstrates a new technique or offers a tip or two. How many did you use in 2007? Good practical quilting ideas with a great show and tell. The more show n’ tell you bring the more inspiration everyone gets. We love seeing the great ideas you come up with. Cost is $5.00 each month.
Would you like to make a quilt top for just $7.50? If you choose, you can participate in our block of the month. The first month you pay $7.50 for the pattern and fabric for the first block. If you come back to Quilt Club the next month with your block completed you receive the next pattern and fabric for free! If you can’t make that month’s meeting, you just pay $5.00 for the month’s pattern and fabric. Don’t miss January’s Quilt Club - Jeanne will have the completed top for you to see. The quilt top is all done in Lakehouse’s LaBelle Rose Collection.
Building Blocks Club
Come on down the 1st Monday of each month from 6 - 9 pm and build quilt blocks. It’s just like playing with blocks when you were a kid but lots more fun! You’ll make a different 6” block each month. Each of the blocks will teach a technique thus building your quilting knowledge as you go. You’ll learn how to make rail fence, nine patch, shoo fly, sawtooth star, ohio star and paper pieced log cabin blocks. The blocks you learn can easily be used alone to make an entire quilt, or you may choose to combine all six blocks for a sampler type quilt. This would be a great opportunity to use those beautifully coordinated fabric collections or go scrappy and use up some of your stash. It’s also fat quarter friendly (for all you fat quarter frenzy people). Join the fun building blocks on Monday nights!

The techniques learned can be used on any size project you wish to do in the future. In class you will be able to choose which size of hexagon and drunkard’s path block you would like to do, the thimble is one-size-fits all. You may find that you like hand piecing as much (or more!) than you do machine piecing! And the techniques we will be practicing are much easier done by hand. Try ityou’ll like it!
