♥ Sew Simple Pineapple
Another quilt market find! Jean’s hooked and you will be too! Learn to make a pineapple quilt using a new, easy method which is lots of fun. ♥ Beginner Quiltmaking
Barb will teach the basic skills for successful quiltmaking.
Rotary cutting, perfect piecing (four patch and half square triangles), perfect pressing, squaring your blocks, and applying borders correctly for a perfect quilt top will all be taught. This class is the perfect beginner class.

Four Patch Stacked Posie

Ring Around the Posies
Hang on to summer a bit longer with this cheerful, easy to piece quilt. Snowball blocks, made with the diagonal seam method, are combined with straight-seam Twist blocks.
Careful placement of colors in your blocks creates the illusion of interlocking rings.

Care and Feeding of your Featherweight

Twisted Attic
Similar to a traditional Attic Window block, but Sjoukje came up with a trick to make the construction even easier. Large triangles would be perfect to showcase a favorite print (one of those you hate to cut into). The (optional) sawtooth border is made quickly with thangles or triangles-on-a-roll.

♥ Flower Garden Applique Block of the Month
Wow is the only way to describe this wallhanging! With thirteen different species of flowers, you will be able to hone your applique skills as you build your own garden of floral beauties. Presented one block per month, from easiest to hardest, you will be pleased with your progress as you watch your weed-free garden grow. Needleturn applique will be used in class; experience is helpful, but determined beginners are welcome.

Strippy Star Sampler
Add together eight different variable star blocks, on-point setting, an appliqued panel that combines both hand and machine work, borders on two sides and you have the strippy star sampler. Perfect your rotary cutting, machine piecing and pressing. Great for beginners who will get a lot of bang for the buck with this stunner. Top finishes approximately 44 x 46

Add a new talent to your repertoire! Learn to embellish baby bonnets, dresses and nightgowns. In class, you’ll make a Christmas ornament designed using the basic smocking stitches.

Just Dotty Vest
Dots are hot! You can create a knockout dot vest with a ready made shirt as the foundation. Start with a purchased shirt that’s one size too large, take it apart, add bright and lively fabric circles and bias binding to make a sensational vest to complement any outfit. The fabric-bound vest front overlaps the vest back and is held in place at the underarm with an attractive button.
The class sample is made using Christmas fabrics for a unique holiday vest, but any combination of fabrics is possible! You will do the cutting and prep before the class, using instructions that will be provided. The assembly of the vest will take place in class, as will the grid of quilting that secures the circles. This is an easy way to create a special wardrobe accent!

♥ Hand Quilting Sharon's Way
Whether you've just finished your first quilt top and are ready to learn to quilt, or simply want to improve your quilting stitch, come learn this unique way to quilt without poking your underneath fingers and without a hoop or frame. (It is not stab stitch.) Basting, marking methods, echo quilting, thread and batting are covered as well as the quilting stitch. Class fee includes a prebasted quilt sandwich.

♥ Friendship Triangle Exchange
Laundry Basket Quilts highlights dozen of projects in their book "Friendship Triangles" created with half square triangle blocks. We’ll begin a half square triangle exchange in January using Edyta Sitar triangle exchange paper. On display through December, Edyta’s Tree Farm quilt using her half square triangle blocks. Jump on the band wagon and join our exchange. Demonstrations will be provided for using triangle exchange paper. Half square triangles will be exchanged in March. Join us for Friendship triangle nights – an evening of sewing with friends.
Dates: Friday, January 14 and Friday, February 11
Time: 6:00-10:00 pm.
An optional weekend at The Upstairs Inn on March 18-20 will be held to begin sewing your half square triangles into dozens of possibilities. Participate in our Friendship Triangle Exchange and your cost for the weekend will be $50.00.
